Frequently asked questions about the Nordea Premium card

    Nordea Premium Mastercard in brief

    • Credit limit from 5,000 to 20,000 euros.
    • You will receive an interest-free payment period of 30 days on average for all your purchases.
    • If you want, you can have two instalment-free months a year.
    • 50% discount on the annual fee for the first year.
    • The interest rate is the 3-month Euribor + 7.5%.

Travel and shop safely and comfortably

You are entitled to four visits to Priority Pass airport lounges in a calendar year free of charge.

The card includes travel insurance, which is valid for leisure trips abroad when you pay at least 75% of your total travel and accommodation costs with your card’s credit facility.

Another type of cover, Product Safety Insurance, helps protect items you buy for your home or holiday home.

Enjoy airport lounge services with Priority Pass™

As a Nordea Premium principal card holder, your benefits also include a Priority Pass, which gives you access to Priority Pass lounges at more than 1,500 airports across the world. With your Priority Pass, you can visit an airport lounge four times in a calendar year free of charge (including visits by you and your travelling companions). Any additional lounge visits will be charged to your credit card.

In the Priority Pass airport lounges, you can enjoy free drinks and snacks, read the latest magazines and newspapers and, in most lounges, use a free Wi-Fi during your trip.

How to start using the Priority Pass benefit

To take advantage of your Priority Pass benefit, register your membership at prioritypass.com/nordea.

    Register your membership

In order to register for the Priority Pass service you’ll need the details of your Nordea Premium credit card and the Nordea ID app or the Nordea ID device for authentication.

    1. Begin by entering the number of your Nordea Premium card’s credit facility into the Payment Card Number field.
    2. Once you have provided all the requested card and invoicing details, confirm your membership with your Nordea ID app or Nordea ID device.
    3. You have to enable online payments with your card before you register for the Priority Pass service. Change your card settings in Nordea Mobile or Netbank if necessary.

    Download the app

Once you have registered for the Priority Pass service, download the Priority Pass app to your mobile device from your app store (App Store or Google Play). Log in to the app with your user ID and password that you created when you registered for the Priority Pass service. Please note that you have to enable online payments with your Nordea Premium card every time you visit a Priority Pass airport lounge.

Once you have done this, you’re ready to start using the app and your digital Priority Pass membership card. The digital membership card included in the Priority Pass mobile app gives you access to lounges.

The app provides you with up-to-date information on airport lounges covered by the Priority Pass benefit across the world. You can also check how many lounge visits you’ve made and read more about additional benefits and discounts at different airports.

How to use the benefit without the app

You can also get the lounge benefit by showing your physical Nordea Premium card at a lounge reception. If you only show your card at the reception, remember to always mention that your Nordea Premium card includes the Priority Pass benefit to ensure that you can enter free of charge. You have to enable online payments with your card every time you visit a Priority Pass lounge.

If you haven’t registered your Priority Pass membership in advance, you need to use your physical Nordea Premium card and the Nordea ID app or Nordea ID device to verify your identity when you visit a lounge for the first time. Please note that you also have to enable online payments with your Nordea Premium card every time you visit a Priority Pass airport lounge.

    Invoicing and investigation of transactions

    Tracking of card transactions

You can keep track of your card transactions in Nordea Mobile or Netbank.

    Credit card transactions:

    • Select your card on the front page of Nordea Mobile or Netbank. Here you’ll see a list of the latest transactions made with your card’s credit facility.
    • In Netbank, you’ll find the most recent e-invoice as well as older e-invoices, where you can check your past card transactions. Log in to Netbank and go to Payments > E-invoices > History. You can also see transactions that are more than 1–3 months old on your e-invoices. Your e-invoices will be stored in Netbank for 18 months.
    • In Nordea Mobile, you can view your most recent e-invoice. Log in to Nordea Mobile and go to Payments and e-invoices, open your credit card invoice and click on Invoicer’s breakdown.

    Debit card transactions:

    • Select the account linked to your card in Nordea Mobile or Netbank. For example, if your card is linked to your current account, you’ll see the transactions made with your debit card in your account transactions.

Please note that the name of the seller under a card transaction may be different from the name of the creditor on your invoice in cases of restaurants and taxi companies, for example.

What does the 30-day interest-free payment period mean in credit cards?

You will get an interest-free payment period of 30 days on average for purchases charged to the credit facility. You can pay off your credit balance in full whenever you like or repay it in monthly instalments. After the interest-free payment period, you will pay interest on the remaining balance as determined in the card terms and conditions.

Example: buying a vacuum cleaner The due date of the credit card invoice is the 15th of each month and the invoicing period is from 25 March to 26 April. We recommend that you choose the date on which you receive regular income as the due date to make it easy for you to pay the invoice when you have money available.

    • 1 April You buy a vacuum cleaner.
    • 15 April Due date on the credit card invoice, on which you pay the invoice for the previous invoicing period (March).
    • 15 May Due date for purchases made before 27 April, including the vacuum cleaner in this case.

The last day of the invoicing period is 26 April. Any purchases made after this date will be invoiced in June. If you had bought the vacuum cleaner on 26 April, you would still pay it on 15 May. If you had bought the vacuum cleaner on 27 April, the due date would be 15 June instead.

Can I choose to pay extra?

You can make extra instalments or pay off your debt whenever you want. You can also increase the total on your credit card invoice.

You can repay your credit card balance and change invoicing details easily in Nordea Mobile or Netbank. More detailed instructions are available in the channel of your choice.

You can easily pay off your credit card debt whenever you want. You can see the current credit balance in Nordea Mobile and Nordea Netbank under your card details.

You can pay off your credit card debt on the due date of the next invoice. See the invoice for the total credit balance and interest up to the due date.

If your card number starts with 552, you can check its total credit balance by calling the following customer service number: +358 9 6964 6011 (Mon–Fri 8–20).
