Who provides Click to Pay and how is my personal data processed?

Click to Pay is a service provided by Visa and Mastercard. When you sign up for the service in Nordea Mobile, we will share your contact information and details about the selected cards with Visa in the United Kingdom or Mastercard in the European Union. Personal data can be transferred to the United Kingdom based on a decision of the European Commission on the adequacy of data protection. We will also share your card details when your card is renewed.

How can I add my card to Click to Pay?

Log in to Nordea Mobile and select the card you want to add to Click to Pay. Then tap ‘Add to Click to Pay’. Check your information, accept the terms and conditions and confirm the activation with your access codes.

Once you have added your card to the service, Mastercard or Visa will send you an email to confirm that your card has been added to the service. Visa will also send you a separate welcome email. The emails will be sent to the email address you provide when you activate the service. You will not receive any other messages concerning the added card, and they will not require you to use your Nordea access codes.

How do I use Click to Pay for online payments?

Select debit or credit card as the payment method. Click to Pay automatically identifies your email address and mobile phone number in the online stores offering Click to Pay. Mastercard or Visa will send you a one-time code by SMS or email, which you will use to verify your identity in the service. You can then pay your purchase with the card of your choice.

What will happen when I receive a new card?

If it replaces an expired card, your new card will be automatically added to Click to Pay.

If you have a completely new card or the card replaces a blocked card, you must add your card to Click to Pay yourself.

How do I make changes to my Click to Pay profile?

If you want to make changes to your profile, log in to Nordea Mobile and select the card you have added to Click to Pay. Go to Settings and choose ‘Manage Click to Pay’. After this, you will be directed to the Visa or Mastercard website to which you log in using your email address and a confirmation code. There you can make changes to your information, such as update your email address or telephone number.

Is it safe to use Click to Pay?

Yes, it is safe to use it. Your actual card number is never forwarded to the merchant. An encrypted individual card number is used for each payment transaction.
