How to transfer your income and social security benefits to us

1. Make sure that you have a Nordea account.

The easiest way to become our customer is to fill in our application form online. You will get a current account, Nordea access codes for digital banking and a payment card right after you become our customer.

Become a customer online

If you’re already our customer but aren’t using your account regularly, start by directing all your social security benefits, income and salary to your Nordea account. By doing so, you will be able to use the payment cards linked to your account smoother because any purchases you make will be automatically debited to your account.

You can check your Nordea account number by logging in to Nordea Mobile or Netbank and looking up your account details.

2. Register your account number with payers

Change your salary account by informing your employer or other party that pays your wages of your new account number. You should nowadays be able to do this online, but you will find out the details by contacting the payroll services.

If you get other income or social security benefits, such as child benefit, housing allowance or pension, you need to inform the payer of the benefit, such as Kela, of your new account number to have the benefit directed to Nordea. You can do this online.

3. Remember to update your direct payments and e-invoices

When you start using your new account, remember to direct all direct payments and e-invoices there. You can do this by updating the new account number in your direct payments and by making new e-invoice agreements with each invoicer.

We recommend that you track the transactions in your old current account for a few months to make sure nothing essential slips through.
