What to do if you think you have been scammed

1. Block your online banking codes and card immediately

If the scammer has stolen your card details or online banking codes, it is important that you act right away. You can block your card and online banking codes by calling us.

Call our Customer Service and select the hotline to help fraud victims (option 4).

When our Customer Service is closed, please call the blocking service on +358 20 333Opens new window (local rates apply*). The blocking service is available 24/7.

After our Customer Service has immediately taken the necessary measures, we will inform you how to get new online banking codes, how to report the crime and how to initiate a dispute process.

2. Report the scam or attempted scam to us

You should notify us of all scams and frauds. You can notify us by sending us a message via Nordea Mobile or Netbank or by calling us

If you have received a suspicious message in Nordea’s name, forward it to us at raportointi@nordea.com. If it’s an email, you can forward it to the address above, or if it’s a text message, you can email us a screenshot.

We will never ask you for your online banking credentials or send you links to log in to Nordea Mobile or Netbank in our newsletters or text messages.

3. You can block your card yourself in Nordea Mobile and Netbank anywhere and anytime.

If your card details have been compromised or if you have lost your card, you can block your card temporarily or permanently in Nordea Mobile and Netbank. In Nordea Mobile, select your card and tap ‘Security’. In Netbank, select your card and click ‘Blocking’.

If you block your card temporarily, you can also unblock it yourself. If you block your card permanently, you can no longer use it. You will automatically receive a new replacement card within 1–2 weeks.

You can’t block your online banking codes in Nordea Mobile or Netbank. If necessary, please contact our Customer Service.

4. Don’t struggle with online security alone
