This service is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.
This means that some content does not yet meet the required standard. The known non-conformances are listed below. They were identified through an accessibility audit conducted in 2026.
Accessibility of the digital service
This service is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements. The identified shortcomings are planned to be fixed by 31 December 2026. This statement will be updated annually.
Inaccessible content of the digital service
The service is not yet fully compliant in the following identified areas:
Perceivable
Some content in the service is not available to users who cannot see the screen. For example, graphs showing investment performance do not have text descriptions, and some form structures that are clear visually are not reflected in the code meaning a screen reader user hears something different from what is shown on screen.
- Some images and data visualisations in the service do not have text alternatives. (WCAG 1.1.1 — Level A)
- The programmatic structure of the service does not consistently reflect its visual structure. This includes form groupings, heading hierarchies and the relationships between form fields and their labels or error messages. (WCAG 1.3.1 — Level A)
- In some flows, the programmatic reading order does not match the visual order of the content. (WCAG 1.3.2 — Level A)
- Some form fields asking for personal information do not support browser autocomplete. (WCAG 1.3.5 — Level AA)
- Some links are distinguished from surrounding text by colour alone. (WCAG 1.4.1 — Level A)
- Some text elements have insufficient colour contrast against their background. (WCAG 1.4.3 — Level AA)
- Some content is lost or not fully visible when the page is zoomed or viewed at a smaller screen width. (WCAG 1.4.10 — Level AA)
- Some focus indicators have insufficient contrast against their background. (WCAG 1.4.11 — Level AA)
Operable
Some parts of the service cannot be used with a keyboard alone. Focus, the position a keyboard or screen reader user is at on the page, is not always managed correctly, meaning users can lose their place after completing an action or moving between steps in a form.
- Some features and modal windows cannot be fully operated using a keyboard alone. (WCAG 2.1.1 — Level A)
- Keyboard focus is not consistently managed when content changes or new content appears. (WCAG 2.4.3 — Level A)
- Some links do not have names that describe their purpose or destination. (WCAG 2.4.4 — Level A)
- Some interactive elements share identical accessible names, making them indistinguishable for assistive technology users. (WCAG 2.4.6 — Level AA)
- Some interactive elements do not have a visible focus indicator. (WCAG 2.4.7 — Level AA)
Understandable
Error messages in forms do not always clearly indicate which field needs to be corrected. Some components behave in unexpected ways when used with assistive technology, and some navigation patterns are not consistent throughout the service.
- In some parts of the service, component labels are set to a different language than the user interface language. (WCAG 3.1.2 — Level AA)
- Some interactive components behave in unexpected ways when operated by keyboard or assistive technology. (WCAG 3.2.2 — Level A)
- Some navigation patterns and component behaviours are not consistent across the service. (WCAG 3.2.3 — Level AA)
- Some components that serve the same purpose are not identified consistently across the service. (WCAG 3.2.4 — Level AA)
- Some error messages are not programmatically associated with the fields they refer to. In some flows, required fields are not clearly communicated to the user. (WCAG 3.3.1 — Level A)
- Some form fields lack visible labels or instructions. (WCAG 3.3.2 — Level A)
- Some error messages do not provide sufficient guidance on how to correct the input. (WCAG 3.3.3 — Level AA)
Robust
Some buttons and controls do not have names that describe what they do, making them difficult to identify with a screen reader. Updates and changes, such as a completed payment or a new step in a form, are not always announced to screen reader users.
- Some interactive elements have missing, incorrect or inconsistent accessible names and roles throughout the service. (WCAG 4.1.2 — Level A)
- Status changes and dynamic content updates are not consistently communicated to assistive technology users. (WCAG 4.1.3 — Level AA)
Disproportionate burden
No content has been excluded on the basis of disproportionate burden.
Documents
The service may contain many partially inaccessible PDF documents. The documents can contain images without alternative text, have missing tags so they don’t work correctly with screen readers, have incorrect reading order as well as unclear link text. Nordea is currently working on correcting these documents.
