Move home loans

How to move your home loan to us:

1. Apply for a home loan from us.
2. We will invite you to a loan negotiation and you will receive a preliminary loan offer from us.
3. Once you decide to take out the loan from us, we will agree on the details with you.
4. After you have signed the loan agreements, we will handle everything with your old bank. We will pay off your old loan and set up a new loan for you.

Can I move my ASP loan to Nordea?

Yes, you can. First, fill in our home loan application online. We will then invite you to a loan negotiation where we will tell you more about how the move will proceed.

If you currently have an ASP account with another bank and you are planning to apply for a home loan, you can apply for the ASP loan from us. Just fill in our home loan application online. We will then contact you to discuss your ASP savings. If you decide to take the home loan from us, we will move your ASP account to us and help you with the practical arrangements.

How can I move a joint loan to Nordea?

If you have a joint loan with another person, you can move it to us together. Select in the home loan application that you are applying for the new loan together.

If you have separate home loans, one of you can move their loan to us without the other one needing to do the same. Remember, though, that it’s usually easier to manage loans related to the same property when the loans and collateral are with the same bank.

Move unsecured consumer loans

If you have unsecured consumer loans or hire purchase debts with other financial institutions, a debt consolidation loan from us could be one option. Debt consolidation means that you will take out a debt consolidation loan from us, which we will use to pay off your old loans. We will grant our debt consolidation loan as FlexiCredit, which is an unsecured loan.

Move secured consumer loans

You can also move secured loans to us.

If you want to apply for a home loan from us, fill in our home loan application online. When we negotiate on the home loan with you, we can also discuss moving your secured loans to us.

If you only want to move a secured consumer loan to us, fill in our secured loan application in Nordea Mobile or Netbank. We will then invite you to a loan negotiation where we will discuss your loan in detail.

Move student loans

You can move a student loan from one bank to another under certain conditions. If you want to choose us for all your banking needs, we can also discuss moving your student loan. Student loan transfers are subject to certain restrictions depending on when you have drawn down your student loan, for example. We will discuss these limitations with you in more detail.

If your loan can be moved to us, we will not charge any fees for it, but you should ask from your old bank whether it will charge you for the move.

Move equities

You can move your book-entry account and equity savings account to us from another bank. We will not charge any fees for moving Finnish book-entries. Book an appointment with one of our experts to discuss the move in more detail.

Move fund units

You can’t move fund investments as such to us. Our experts will help you prepare an investment plan accounting for your current fund holdings and the services you want to set up with us.

Move an ASP account

If you have an ASP account with another bank, you can move the account and the money in it to us and continue to save with Nordea. Contact us and we will tell you more about moving an ASP account.

Move accounts

Open a current account and other accounts you want with us. Once you have set them up, you can transfer your money from your old bank to your account with us. If you no longer need your old bank account, you can terminate it with your old bank.

Move your salary and other income

Once you have set up a new account with us, remember to inform the payers of income and social benefits of your new account number. For example, contact these parties to let them know that you have a new account number:

• your employer’s payroll services
• Kela, if you get child benefit or other benefits
• MyTax (for any tax refunds).

You can find your account number in Nordea Mobile and Netbank. Just select your account to access its details.

Move e-invoices

You can manage your e-invoices in Nordea Mobile and Netbank. Here’s how you can move e-invoices to us from another bank:

1. Make note of your e-invoices in your old bank.
2. Terminate the e-invoice agreements in your old bank.
3. Order new e-invoices in Nordea Mobile or Netbank.

Update payment cards in different services

Once you have a new card with us, remember to update its details in the services you use.

For example, if you use streaming or audiobook services, you can usually update your card details in the payment settings of each service.

You can also add your card to your phone and start making mobile payments.
