How much interest is paid on a savings account?

The interest rates paid on savings accounts are influenced by the general market situation and the general interest rate level. Other factors that may affect the rates include the deposit period and the amount of your deposit.

The interest rate on a savings account is determined according to the terms and conditions of the account. The interest rate can be fixed or it can be tied to a reference rate called the Nordea Premier Interest Rate. If the account has a reference rate, the interest paid on the account is calculated by deducting a margin stated in the terms and conditions from the reference rate. If the reference rate changes, the account interest rate will also change.

A fixed rate, on the other hand, remains unchanged throughout the deposit period you have agreed on.
