How to change the settings on the Insights tab

The first thing you should do is check and update your settings on the Insights tab. By doing so, you ensure that you get relevant insights and can get the most out of them. Select which accounts and cards you want to include in your insights. Also select the time period to follow. You can choose to track your spending over one month or a longer time period.

1. Open Nordea Mobile and log in. 
   
2. Go to the Insights tab and tap on the cog icon in the top right corner to change the settings.
   
3. You can now edit the tracking period on the Insights tab and the tracked accounts and cards. 
   
4. Once you’ve applied the changes you want, tap Save. You’re all set!

How to track your income and expenses and reclassify them

1. Open Nordea Mobile and log in. 
   
2. Go to the Insights tab.
   
3. Your income and expenses are allocated to various categories, including ‘Shopping’ and ‘Food and drinks’. Select a category to see its subcategories and the transactions classified under them.
   
4. Tap on an individual transaction to reclassify it by choosing a more suitable category.
   

Once you have applied the change of category, the transaction will be moved to the new category on the Insights tab. If the app suggests that you transfer other similar transactions to the same category, you can either ignore the suggestion or accept it.

How to create a budget

1. Go to the Insights tab in Nordea Mobile.
2. Tap Create budget under the Budgets section.
3. Name your budget, enter the maximum amount and select the expense categories it covers.
4. Press Create Budget and fill in the details.
5. Track your budget under the Budgets section on the Insights tab.

Track subscriptions

1. Go to the Insights tab in Nordea Mobile.
2. Scroll down and select Subscriptions.
3. You will see a list of subscriptions that are charged to your account or card.

Tip: Starting from version 4.23, you can also access Subscriptions under ‘Payments and e-invoices’.

Is one of your accounts or cards missing from Subscriptions? Adjust the settings on the Insights tab to select which accounts and cards you want to include in your insights.

How to manage subscriptions

If there’s a subscription missing from the list, you can add it manually.

1. Tap the plus sign at the bottom of the page.
2. Select the transaction that is related to a subscription.
3. Mark the transaction as a subscription.

If you don’t want to see a subscription on the list, you can hide it. Select the subscription and use the slider to hide it.

Cancel subscriptions

1. Select the subscription you wish to cancel. Select ‘Cancel subscription’, follow the steps in the app and fill in your details.
2. We will ask you to sign an authorisation digitally so that we can cancel the subscription for you.
3. We can then handle the cancellation process on your behalf. Your subscription will usually be cancelled in 5 days or less. You will receive a confirmation when the subscription is cancelled. You will also be notified if the subscription can’t be cancelled for some reason. In such a case, please contact the service provider directly.

Note: There are some subscriptions that can’t be cancelled in Nordea Mobile, such as fixed-term subscriptions.

How to pause or renew subscriptions

How to pause a subscription

You can choose to pause a subscription for a set period, such as for 3 months. This is only possible if the option to pause is available for the subscription in question. If you don’t see this option, it is not possible to pause the subscription through Nordea Mobile. You should contact the service provider directly to pause the subscription.

How to renew a subscription

If you have previously cancelled a subscription, you can renew it under ‘Renewing previous subscriptions’, where you can see the subscriptions you have cancelled in the past. By selecting a cancelled subscription, you will be redirected to the service provider’s website to resubscribe.

How to update the payment method for subscriptions

You can update the payment method for a subscription by selecting ‘Change payment method’. This will redirect you to the service provider’s website where you can update the payment method.

Please note that if you have any problems with updating the payment method, we recommend that you contact the service provider directly.

How to add your other banks to Nordea Mobile

1. Go to the Profile tab and select Connect to other banks and services.
   
2. Open the terms and conditions. Read and accept the terms and conditions.
3. Give Nordea your consent to process your data.
4. Select Add banks and services.
5. Your data is being retrieved from your other bank – Press Continue.
6. Verify your identity with your online banking credentials from the other bank and select which accounts and cards you want to view in Nordea Mobile.
7. You’re all set! You can now add other available service providers or continue with your banking.

You will find the banks and products you added under Accounts and cards.

How to transfer money from your account with another bank to your Nordea account

You can use the Transfer feature in Nordea Mobile to transfer money from an account you have with another bank to your Nordea account. You will need your online banking credentials from the other bank to confirm the transfers.

1. Open Nordea Mobile.
2. Tap ‘Transfer’, then tap ‘From account’.
3. Scroll down.
4. In the ‘Other banks’ section, tap ‘Account with another bank’ and fill in the necessary details for the transfer, including the account you want to transfer money to and the amount.
5. Tap ‘Select account with another bank’ to select your other bank. Select your bank, log in with the other bank’s credentials and follow the instructions.
6. Confirm the payment and the transfer will be made to your Nordea account.

Tip: If you add your accounts with other banks to Nordea Mobile in advance, it will be even easier for you to transfer money from these accounts to your Nordea account. You can then see your accounts with other banks under ‘Transfer’ when you select the account you want to transfer money from.

Note that you will need to be using Nordea Mobile version 4.23 or newer. If necessary, you can install a new version of the app from your app store.

The service supports accounts in the following banks: Aktia, Danske Bank, OP, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken and Revolut.​

Money transfer from another bank is also possible in netbank. Just select 'Transfer from another bank' from the quick actions of the netbank.

Investment services in Nordea Mobile

In Nordea Mobile, you can trade in securities, search for investment instruments and set savings goals for yourself. 

Under ‘Savings and investments’ you can track the performance of your savings and investments. If you have more than one book-entry account or fund portfolio, you can also select one of them at a time to have a closer look.
