Coronavirus – insurance cover for trips abroad included in Nordea credit cards

The trip cancellation cover included in your credit card gives you the possibility of cancelling your trip if you or your next-of-kin fall ill before your departure. It does not cover cancellation if you wish to cancel your trip because you have concerns about coronavirus or costs arising from other services related to your trip, such as accommodation or car rental costs.

You can, however, cancel your trip if you fall or your family member falls suddenly and seriously ill before your departure.

The trip cancellation cover included in your card allows you to cancel your trip if you fall or your next-of-kin falls seriously ill before your departure, for example. The insurance policy covers the cancellation of your trip in case of your or your next-of-kin’s acute serious illness, accident or death. You may also be entitled to indemnification for cancellation costs that result from unexpected and substantial financial damage to your property, such as your home.

This means that the trip cancellation cover included in your Nordea Gold, Premium, Platinum or Black card does not cover cancellation if you wish to cancel your trip because you have concerns about coronavirus or other costs arising from other services related to your trip, such as accommodation or car rental costs.

Below you can find more information for personal customers about trip cancellations or travelling in areas affected by the epidemic.
