What are Nordea’s Enhanced funds?

Nordea’s Enhanced funds combine some of the characteristics of both passive and active investments. The Enhanced funds are actively managed, but the level of activity, i.e. their deviation from the benchmark index, is small. The portfolio manager makes fewer selections than in a traditional actively managed fund, but may exclude some of the companies included in the fund’s benchmark index if they are considered unattractive investments.

Enhanced funds in brief

  • The Enhanced funds aim to outperform their benchmark index, unlike completely passive funds.

  • The funds may exclude index companies that the portfolio managers don’t consider to be good investments.
  • The costs of the Enhanced funds are somewhere in between the costs of passive funds and those of highly active funds. You can check the fund-specific costs in our Funds Now service.
  • The funds adhere to Nordea’s Responsible Investment Policy. Read more on how we take sustainability into consideration when managing our funds.
