How can I get access codes for a minor?

A minor can use Nordea access codes to view their account balance in Nordea Mobile and Netbank.

You can get access codes for your underaged child with the consent of both guardians. If the minor is aged 15 or over, they can apply for access codes on their own if they have an account intended for their personal income.

Where can I find my online banking agreement?

Your online banking agreement was sent to you by post when your Nordea access codes were set up. 

If you have lost your copy of the agreement, please contact us. 

How can I access public online services using my Nordea access codes?

You can use your Nordea access codes to access public online services when your access codes include strong electronic identification (e-identification). 

Nordea access codes allow you to verify your identity when logging in to Nordea Mobile and Netbank and calling our Customer Service as well as when accessing the online services of other service providers, such as Kela and the Finnish Tax Administration. In addition, you will sometimes be asked to confirm your online card purchases with your access codes.

How to use your Nordea access codes to verify your identity: 

1. When logging in to a service, select Nordea as the identification method.
2. You will be directed to a Nordea login page where you can select one of the following two ways to verify your identity:
   
   - Nordea ID app: Enter your user ID and click OK. Open your Nordea ID app and confirm the login request with your PIN or use biometric authentication.
   
   - Nordea ID device: Enter your user ID and click OK. You will now see your QR code in Netbank. Press the SCAN button on the device. Use the camera to scan the QR code. Check that the message shown in your device matches what you’re doing. Press OK. Enter your PIN and press OK. The device will give you a 9-digit response code. Enter it in the appropriate field in Netbank.
   
   - Code calculator: Enter your user ID and click OK. Turn the code calculator on by pressing the OK button. Then press ID (number 2). Enter the 6-digit code displayed on your computer screen into the code calculator and press OK. Enter your 4-digit PIN into the code calculator and press OK. The code calculator will create a code that you must enter in the relevant field. Then press OK.
   
   
3. Confirm the details that will be transmitted to the service provider.
   
4. Finally, you will be directed to the service.
   
5. Remember to log out of the service when you’re done.

My access codes are locked. What should I do?

Nordea access codes will be locked after too many unsuccessful identification attempts for security reasons.

A locked Nordea ID app:

If your Nordea ID app gets locked, it will automatically unlock after 24 hours. You can’t have it unlocked before the 24 hours have passed. 

A locked Nordea ID device:

If you enter an incorrect response code three times in a row, the device will be locked for 60 minutes. You can’t have it unlocked before the 60 minutes have passed. After one hour, you will be able to use your Nordea ID device again.

A locked code calculator:

Your code calculator may be locked if you enter the PIN you have selected incorrectly or if you try to use the wrong function.

You will need the PUK code if the PIN you have selected gets locked. If your code calculator asks for the PUK code, please contact us.

Your code calculator will be locked temporarily if you attempt to perform the wrong function with the code calculator too many times. If this happens, the device will unlock automatically after 24 hours. You can’t have it unlocked before the 24 hours have passed.
