1. Choose the salary account that suits you best

Your salary and other regular income can be paid to your current account or PerkAccount. Most of our customers have chosen a current account, but you can choose a PerkAccount as your salary account if you want to have a separate account for your daily banking.

In addition to salary, the most common types of regular income include pension, Kela’s benefits, allowances, business income and capital income. Transfers between your own accounts are not considered regular income.

All our customers will get a current account after becoming a customer. You can also open a PerkAccount easily in Nordea Mobile or Netbank.

2. Register your account number with payers

You can find your account number by logging in to Nordea Mobile or Netbank and looking up your account details. You can then copy your account number with one tap.

Register your account number with your employer for salary payment. You can usually inform your employer of your new account digitally. You’ll get more detailed instructions by contacting your payroll services.

If you receive Kela’s benefits such as pension, student financial aid, child benefit or social assistance, you need to inform Kela of your new account number. It is easiest to do this online.

Don’t forget the Tax Administration

We also recommend that you register your new account number in MyTax for any tax refunds.

3. Remember to update your direct payments and e-invoices

We will be notified that you have moved your salary or other regular income to us the next time your salary or other regular income is paid to your account. You don’t need to contact us about moving your salary and other income to us.

We recommend that you also direct all direct payments and e-invoices from the account you had with another bank to your Nordea current account.

  • Update your direct payments with your new account number.
  • Set up new e-invoicing agreements with each invoice issuer.
  • You should track the transactions in your old current account for a few months to make sure nothing essential slips through.

When you direct your direct payments and e-invoices to us after moving your salary, you can do all your daily banking in one place and it will be easier for you to track your finances.
