Make bill payment easier in Nordea Netbank by using e-invoices

E-invoice is a digital bill that you can receive directly in Nordea Netbank instead of getting a traditional paper bill by post. By gradually replacing paper bills with e-invoices, you can save money over time, as paper bills usually include an additional charge for printing and postage.

When you add a company that invoices you regularly as an e-invoice issuer in Nordea Netbank, you will no longer need to enter the account number, amount and reference number for its bills separately – all the details will be ready for you. All you need to do is confirm the payment. You can always edit the invoice details at any time before the due date.

To make your daily banking even easier, you can set your e-invoices to be paid automatically. You can easily see in one place who your current e-invoice issuers are in Nordea Netbank and which of them you have authorised to debit your account automatically.

If subscribing to e-invoices feels difficult, you can start by practising how to make a standard payment in Nordea Netbank. We have made the process as simple and straightforward as possible.

Scan bills with your smartphone in Nordea Mobile

Are you using a smartphone or tablet? You can install the Nordea Mobile app on your device and use it to view your account transactions, transfer money and pay bills anywhere, any time.

The Nordea Mobile app is just as easy to use as Nordea Netbank – perhaps even easier. It offers all the same payment features as Nordea Netbank, including managing and subscribing to e-invoices.

Nordea Mobile also has some useful features complementing Nordea Netbank. For example, you can pay paper bills faster by scanning their barcodes. Simply point your smartphone camera at the barcode, and the invoice details will be entered in Nordea Mobile automatically. All you need to do is confirm the payment.

You can install the Nordea Mobile app on your device from your device’s app store.

Direct payment is the most convenient option for recurring bills

A direct payment is an easy way to pay bills if you’re not able to use Nordea Netbank. It is particularly suitable for regular bills, such as rent and insurance premiums.

When you make a direct payment agreement concerning certain bills, these bills will be paid from your account automatically on their due date, without you having to do anything. Before each bill is debited, the issuer will send you an advance notice of the upcoming payment. This allows you to check that the details are correct.

Before making a direct payment agreement, check with the bill issuer whether it offers this option. You can make new direct payment agreements by visiting a Nordea branch.
