Older cards have a different margin and account management fee

Cards issued previously include a monthly credit account management fee that is not charged on newer cards. The account management fee is charged monthly if you have interest-bearing balance. The margin on your card may also differ from that of our newer cards.

Before increasing your credit limit

Please note that if you increase the credit limit on a Nordea card issued before 1 May 2026, the margin will be updated to match that of newer cards and the account management fee will be removed. New cards also have different minimum and maximum credit limits than older cards. We therefore recommend checking the current credit limit thresholds before increasing or decreasing your credit limit.

Credit features and interest rate for Nordea Gold cards issued before 1 May 2026

Nordea Gold cards issued before 1 May 2026 have:

  • have a credit limit between 1,500 and 10,000 euros 
  • charge an interest rate of 3-month Euribor + 9.5%
  • are subject to a monthly credit account management fee of 4.50 euros for cards issued between 1 September 2019 and 1 May 2026, and 3.00 euros for cards issued before 1 September 2019.

The monthly fees for all cards are based on our updated Loyalty Programme as of 1 May 2026. 

For cards issued between 1 September 2019 and 1 May 2026, we charge the same service fees as for new cards. Cards issued before 1 September 2019 may have different fees for some services.

  • are subject to a monthly credit account management fee of 4.50 euros (if the card has been issued between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2025) or 3 euros (if the card has been issued before 1 September 2019).
