Apple Pay – simple and close at hand

As a Nordea's customer, you can simply use Apple Pay to make in-store secure card payments using your iPhone with following cards:

  • First Card
  • Business Visa Debit
  • Nordea Business Mastercard

You can also make in-app and online purchases.

Through Apple Wallet

Apple Pay has arrived. The simple way to pay with any Apple device for in-store, in-app or online purchases.

Add card in Apple Pay through Apple Wallet:

  1. Open Apple Wallet
  2. Click on ‘Wallet +´and follow the different stages of the installation and your card information will be added.
  3. Approve the terms and conditions, and you’re done.
  4. Confirm card registration to Apple Wallet. Verification method varies between card types. If you have a First Card, you can verify through the First Card app. If you have a Business Visa Debit -card and you are a personal customer at Nordea, you can confirm registration through Nordea's mobile bank for personal customers. In other cases confirm registration by calling our customer service.

Security

Your card number is never stored on your Apple device or on Apple’s servers and is not shared either with the purchase outlet. Apple Pay uses a device-specific number and a unique transaction code for each purchase, so your payments will remain private and secure. Each transaction is approved Touch ID or Face ID.

How to pay with Apple Pay

With Apple Pay you can make in-store secure card payments using your iPhone, Apple Watch or iPad. 

In stores, where you can make distant payments

Use your iPhone or Apple Watch.

  • If you have a phone with Touch ID: Double click on ‘Touch ID’, or hold your iPhone against the card terminal with your finger on Touch ID. 
  • If you have a phone with Face ID: double click on the side button and use Face ID to complete the purchase. Check that Apple Pay has been installed on your iPhone, and that Face ID has been activated in Settings > Face ID and security code. 
  • With Apple Watch, double click on the side button and hold your Apple Watch against the terminal.

In apps or online stores

Use your iPhone or iPad.

  • Select Apple Pay as the payment method and use Touch ID or Face ID to complete the purchase. 
  • Online stores (using Mac).
  • Select Apple Pay as the payment method and confirm the purchase with your iPhone.
