Criteria for Green Business Loans

Green Business Loans can be used to finance the following types of investments, among others:

• Renewable energy
• Energy efficiency improvements
• Environmentally sustainable use of natural resources and land
• Clean transportation
• Prevention of pollution, including waste treatment and water and wastewater management

The environmental benefits of the investment are measured by applicable reporting indicators. These may include cutting carbon emissions, reducing energy consumption (MW) and available treatment capacity (m3 per day).

Criteria for a Verde Loan

Verde Loans can be used to finance the following types of investments, among others:

• Renewable energy
• Energy efficiency improvement
• Environmentally sustainable use of natural resources and land
• Clean transportation
• Prevention of pollution, including waste treatment and water and wastewater management

The environmental benefits of the investment are measured by applicable reporting indicators. These may include cutting carbon emissions, reducing energy consumption (MW) and available treatment capacity (m3 per day).

The financing is also suitable for projects by public entities.

• The maximum investment to be financed is 50 million euros.

Criteria for the EIF guarantee

An EIF guarantee can be obtained for the following projects, among others:
