Your cards always have a PIN. You can choose the PIN yourself or let Nordea issue a PIN for you.
New card and PIN
Whether you apply for a card at a Nordea branch, in Netbank or in Nordea Customer Service, you can choose your own PIN when you have personal access codes. It will be easier for you to remember your PIN if you choose it yourself, but please ensure that it's not too easy for someone else to guess. Alternatively, you can let Nordea issue a PIN for you.
Delivery of a new forgotten PIN
When you let us issue a PIN for the card you have applied for in Netbank, you can view the PIN in Netbank under Cards > View PIN code. If you choose the PIN of a new card yourself, you cannot view the PIN in Netbank.
You can choose to have the PIN of a new card applied for at a branch or in Nordea Customer Service delivered to one of the following places:
- your mobile phone by SMS
- your home by post.
If you have forgotten your PIN, you can check it in Netbank – or call Nordea Customer Service, tel 0200 70 000, to order it by SMS or post.
Checking your PIN in Netbank is quick and easy. You will also receive a PIN you have ordered as an SMS immediately after you have made the order. It will be sent to the mobile phone number you have given to Nordea.
Change the PIN of an existing card
You can change the PIN of an existing card. You can make the change in Netbank under Cards>Card editing and renewal. There you can also update your card’s other features. This change will initiate a renewal of your card, which is subject to a renewal fee set in the tariff.If you change the PIN in connection with a scheduled renewal, the change is free of charge.
