Welcome to Nordea

The ‘Become a customer online’ service is an easy and convenient way to sign up as Nordea’s customer. To fill in the application, you will need online banking codes from Osuuspankki, Danke Bank, Aktia Bank, S-Bank or Ålandsbanken, a Finnish passport or identity card, and a mobile phone. In addition, you must be of age and reside in Finland and must have a good credit history. You will be granted Nordea's access codes and a current account (free of charge for the first 6 months) .

The service includes three stages:

  1. First you fill in the form in the service and send it to Nordea electronically.
  2. Your application will be processed within the next banking day. When your application has been approved, you will receive an SMS in which you are requested to log in again to the online onboarding service.
  3. After this, you will be have Nordea's access codes available and a current account  (for the first 6 months free of charge).

You can start using other banking services or cards in Netbank or by calling Nordea Customer Service.

With the access codes you can, among other things, use Nordea's Mobile Bank or identify yourself in Nordea Customer Service. In order to be able to use your access codes in third-party services, for example for e-identification, your identity must be verified personally at a branch. Book an appointment for a meeting by calling Nordea Customer Service, tel 0200 70 000, Mon–Fri 10.00–16.30.

By using the online service, you will be signed up to the Basic level of Nordea's Customer Programme, or if you are between the ages of 18 and 29 you will be signed up as a Check-in Customer. Read about Nordea's Customer Programme and its benefits.

You can use the access codes and current account free of charge for the first 6 months, after which you will be charged a fee based on your Customer Programme. For Check-in, Key and Premium Banking Customers, there is no fee for access codes.
