An easy way to set up as a private trader

Setting up a private trader company and registering it in the Trade Register is free of charge through Nordea until 31 January 2021.

When taking your first steps as an entrepreneur, many things can seem overly complicated. You must handle invoicing, bookkeeping, VAT declarations, tax payments, pension insurance and lots of other things. Sounds hard? No reason to worry. We will help you set up your business quickly and effortlessly without having to fill in dozens of forms. 

Nordea will provide the benefit provided that your company is accepted as a Nordea customer after you have established it and that you sign up for the Nordea Accounting Plus service. Together with our partners Varma and UKKO Pro, we have created a hassle-free “turnkey solution” for setting up your private trader company and receiving the services you need for running your business. 

All you need to set up your own business

  1. Registering your private trader company in the Trade Register free of charge**
  2. Nordea Accounting Plus – invoicing and bookkeeping for private traders (87,60€/month, incl. VAT)
  3. Banking services 
  4. YEL insurance

**Business ID, official notification to the Tax Administration and to the Trade Register maintained by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (benefit EUR 115).

When you register as a private trader through the Nordea Accounting Plus service, you will save EUR 343* on your company’s establishment fees and banking services and receive a 22% discount on your YEL contributions for the first four years. 

* The joint benefit includes, as a one-off amount, the costs of establishing a private trading company, the discount on the Nordea Accounting Plus service and the discounted price of the Nordea Business Start corporate package.

Your private trader company will be established and registered in the Trade Register by our partner UKKO Pro.

You will gain the following advantages from registering your private trader company:

  • Your company name will be protected. No one else may use your company name for business activities.
  • You will gain more credibility. Customers and partners searching for information on your company may find it odd if it is not registered. 
  • You can do your banking more conveniently. You can digitally sign agreements for your company without having to come to our branch.

How do I set up a private trader company and sign up for the services?

Click on the “Set up your own business” button below and fill in the requested information.

  1. The information will be forwarded to the Finnish Patent and Registration Office, which will register your business within 4–5 workdays.
  2. Once your company has been set up, we will contact you to discuss establishing a corporate customer relationship with Nordea and activating your services.
  3. After that, you will have access to the necessary services and can start your business activities.
