Card security limits mainly comprise the daily limit for cash withdrawals from ATMs in Finland and the daily limit for bill payments at payment ATMs in Finland.
Limit for cash withdrawals
The daily limit for cash withdrawals can be chosen between 0–1,680 euros.
The withdrawal limit includes cash withdrawals debited to your bank account in Finland. In addition, please note the following rules:
- Visa Electron cards: the limit for cash withdrawals includes cash withdrawals made in Finland and at Visa ATMs abroad.
- MasterCards: the limit for cash withdrawals includes cash withdrawals debited to your credit account at ATMs in Finland and at MasterCard ATMs abroad.
- Visa cards: Cash withdrawals and purchases made with the credit feature are not included in the limit but in the funds available on the card.
Limit for bill payments
The daily limit for bill payments can be chosen between 0–16,820 euros.
The limit includes payments to be debited immediately made at Nordea's payment ATMs. In addition, please note the following rule:
- Visa Electron cards: The limit also includes purchases made in Finland and abroad.
If you are over 18, you can change the daily security limits of your cards in Netbank.
Set the security limits according to your normal daily use. If needed, the limits are easy to change. Tip: Check the security limits and change them according to your card use, for example, before travelling abroad.
