  • The Android app is optimised to function with version 4.1 or later versions of the Android phones' operating system.

  • The new Windows Phone 8 app functions in all phones using the Windows Phone 8 operating system.

How do I activate Mobile Bank?

You can download Mobile Bank from the app store of your mobile device.

Mobile Bank for iPad and iPhone is downloaded from AppStore.

Mobile Bank for Windows Phone 8 phones is downloaded from Windows Store.

Mobile Bank for Android phones is downloaded from Google Play.

How do I create a permanent password to log on to Mobile Bank?

The password is created when you log on to Mobile Bank the first time. For this, you will need a user ID, a code and a confirmation code.

  1. Select "Create password". Log on with the user ID and the next free code on the code list.
  2. Accept the terms and conditions for use.
  3. Enter the password twice. Make sure that they match.
  4. You have now created your password. You may log on.
Your Mobile Phone app is not available for my mobile device. What should I do?When you are using some other mobile device with an Internet connection, you can use netbank with your phone's browser at nordea.fi.

What can I do with the bar code reader?You can read the bar code on an invoice with the bar code reader. Mobile Bank searches most of the invoice information, such as the invoicer's account number, the amount and the reference, from the bar code.
Where do I start the bar code reader?

In iPhones and Android phones the bar code reader is in the right upper corner of the beneficiary display when making a new payment.
With iPad, the bar code icon is the first one in the beneficiary register.
In Mobile Bank of the Windows Phone 8 phones, the bar code reader is on the front page following the logon page.

Why can the reading of the bar code fail?

The reading of the code may fail for a number of reasons.

Make sure that the bar code is read in appropriate lighting. Problems may occur if in too dim lighting or in too bright sunshine. In some cases, placing the bar code in the middle of the finder is not enough. You can try to read the bar code outside the finder's limits by taking the camera closer to or further away from the bar code to be read.

Problems may also occur in the case of certain old equipment in which the quality of the camera is not good enough for reading the bar code. In such cases lighting plays an important role, but it may also be that the reading just cannot be done with the oldest devices, and you must enter the invoice information manually.

Is it safe to use Mobile Bank?

The use of all Nordea's electronic channels is always safe.

We continuously monitor global developments in the information security of electronic channels and develop our own solutions based on this follow-up.

Smart phones and tablets have a limited and closed environment. A limited protection system may not be jailbroken and it is recommended to install apps from official and reliable app stores only.

How do I use my mobile device safely?

You should keep in mind at least the following points:

  • Install apps from reliable sources only.
  • Only use a wireless network that you can trust. In some cases, information has been gathered from devices with unreliable networks.
  • Update the operating system and apps at regular intervals. Updates bring along new security features and functions, and also usability improves.
  • Do not jailbreak the protection environment of your device in order to install apps of your own. It will remove the general protection from the device.
  • Install an anti-virus program in your mobile device whenever possible.
Why does fingerprint authentication require logging in with the code app?
Answer:

The enrolment of the fingerprint authentication requires login with the code app for the first time for security reasons. After the first time, login with the device will be possible with the fingerprint alone.

On what devices can I use fingerprint authentication?
Answer:

- iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus running iOS9 and above.
- Android 6.0 or Samsung devices.

On what devices can I use Shake to log out?
Answer:

This feature is only available for iPhones.

How do I activate Touch ID to log in to my iPhone?
Answer:

Click on “Touch ID” on the “Select login page”.

 

Code app is needed in order to enroll.

How do I activate Shake to log out?
Answer:

On iPhones it’s activated by default.

How do I see who can use Touch ID on my device to log in to Nordea?
Answer:

It’s not possible to see which or whose fingers are recorded in the device Touch ID module. If only one finger is recorded, then it’s easy to test, by attempting to use Touch ID outside our app (on the device lock screen). Check fingers on the device Settings/Touch ID and code.

How do I de-activate Touch ID log in on my iPhone?
Answer:
  • Click (x) to remove profile in profile name field on login page, or
  • Log in with MBA on any device and go to menu / settings / TouchID and remove registered device, or
  • Simply delete app, or call Nordea Customer Service for assistance
How do I de-activate Shake to log out?
Answer:

Go to App Menu / Settings / Shake to log out

Will I get a confirmation on my device when I have Shaked to log out?
Answer:

A blank screen will appear with text “Good bye! Logging out”, and the device vibrates briefly. When logging out, the app lands on the login page.
