The deposit guarantee

Deposit guarantee

When you have to be sure that the sum you have invested will be available to you after a certain time, an account is the right solution. In an account your capital is safe and returns are stable. A deposit is suitable for both short-term and long-term saving. In addition, accounts are covered by the deposit guarantee. It means that account holders get their deposits back with interest under all circumstances. The maximum deposit guarantee is set per each bank group, meaning that the guarantee protects all deposits up to 100,000 euros in one bank or bank group.

The deposit guarantee covers assets owned by personal and corporate customers.

Deposit guarantee in other Nordic countries

The assets of Nordea Bank Finland's customers in Swedish, Norwegian or Danish Nordea are not protected by the Finnish deposit guarantee. Assets at Nordea in Sweden are protected by the Swedish deposit guarantee etc.
