Cash supply services

Start using Nordea's cash supply services. Daily cash settlements will be credited to your account quickly and safely. You will get the change you need from a branch or you can order it directly from a cash-in-transit service. Make a cash supply services agreement with us and the services will be available to you.

To start using the cash supply services you need an agreement with the bank.  
When you make the agreement, the branch will advise you where to leave your cash settlements for counting and how to get the change you need. You will also agree with the branch on the possible use of the night safe and the change box.

Daily cash settlement

We recommend that companies use the coins received from customers as change to other customers. This will save in costs as the settlements will only contain bank notes and the company does not need change so often. 


We offer 3 different settlement forms to your company:

  • bank note settlement which only contains euro notes
  • coin settlement which only contains euro coins
  • mixed settlement which contains notes and a maximum of 50 coins.

Bank note settlements and coin settlements are the most affordable of these three alternatives.

If your company has a Business Debit card, you can deposit your daily cash at a TalletusOtto ATM.

When you use the ATM, the cash will immediately be credited to your company's account.

Cash settlements must be packed in special security bags. It is important to store the security bag's unique serial number before leaving the bag in the night safe. 

The ordering, delivery, invoicing and pricing of security bags and settlement forms will change from the previous practice. As of 1 January 2016, security bags and settlement forms should be ordered from the online service of WaPa Suomi Oy Ab. WaPa will deliver security bags that comply with Nordea's quality requirements directly to the delivery address stated by you, saving you a trip to the branch. 

Easy and convenient!

Here is what you need to do: 

Order information: 

  • Minimum order: 50 products. If you order a higher number in one go, the price per product will be cheaper. 
  • WaPa will handle your order on the next workday at the latest, and the transport service will deliver the products to your company's place of business as stated by you. 
  • The transport is included in the price of the product you ordered. 
  • WaPa delivers security bags that comply with Nordea's quality requirements. The security bags have Nordea's logo printed on them, and the settlement forms also include the company's name and account number.

Security bags or settlement forms will no longer be available at Nordea branches. 

If your company handles a lot of cash, we recommend you make a transport agreement with a cash-in-transit service. The cash-in-transit service will come to your company at agreed times and bring the pre-ordered change and take the daily cash settlements to be counted.

If the cash-in-transit service is able to fit the visit to your company to the cash-in-transit vehicle's route, the price of the service will be more affordable.

If a daily cash settlement has not been packed in accordance with the settlement instructions and it has to be sorted out at the counting centre, a settlement error fee in accordance with the tariff will be charged from the company.  If the calculated euro amount of the settlement differs more than 20 euros from the amount given by the customer, the customer will be notified of this on the account statement. The customer will be charged a settlement error fee in accordance with the tariff.
The following are settlement errors:

  • The account number is missing or incorrect. The counting centre cannot credit the money to the account, but has to find out the account number from the bank.
  • There is no settlement form. The bank does not know to whom the settlement belongs.
  •  Difference in settlement is more than 20 euro.
  • The secure bag contains several settlements. The settlements cannot be itemised/specified.
  •  There are more than 50 coins in a mixed settlement.
Nightsafe

Nordea has a network of night safes that covers the whole country. Contact the bank to find out where the night safes are located to select the best night safe for you. You will make a separate agreement on the use of the night safe with the bank and the bank will give you the key or code to the safe.

A cash-in-transit service (G4S Suomi Oy and Loomis Suomi Oy) will empty the night safes and transport the settlements to the counting centre where they will be counted and credited to the customer's account.

Change

We recommend that companies always use coins received from customers as change to other customers. This will save in costs as there is less counting of coins and acquisition of change.

Contact the Nordea branch offering cash services at which you want to bank and agree with the branch how you will get your change.

If the branch where you do your banking has a change box and you start using it, you can collect the change you have ordered any time during the opening hours of the branch even if the cash service time of the branch was limited.

When you make an agreement with the branch on the use of the box, you will get a key to the box. You will order the change to the box from a cash-in-transit service.

You can make the change order on the Internet at the cash-in-transit service's website or by e-mail.

When you make an agreement with a cash-in-transit service on transport, the service automatically includes delivery of change to your place of business.

For the cash-in-transit service to be able to deliver the change, the bank will need a direct debit authorisation from your company. The change you have ordered will be debited to your account when the money is packed. Your company must make sure that your account has sufficient cover. If the account does not have sufficient cover, the change cannot be delivered.

Nordea and FOREX Bank to enter into cooperation


As Nordea's corporate customer, you will be able to use FOREX Bank's services in the future. However, before your company can start using the new service it must make an agreement with FOREX Bank.  

To companies, FOREX Bank Ab will deliver the ordered foreign currency within 3–5 banking days either to the nearest post office or to the company's delivery address under a cash-in-transit service agreement.

  • Contact FOREX Bank Ab
  • Negotiate an agreement on foreign currency services directly with FOREX Bank Ab
  • Upon making the agreement, mention that you are Nordea´s corporate customer
