Third party services
Never enter your access codes when using a service provided by a third party
Today there are third-party services on the market where the customer logs into Netbank through the service provider's website. In these services the log-in to Netbank has been made a built-in part of the service provider's website. After log-in, the service provider's program takes over the Netbank connection: the normal Netbank home page will not open. Instead, you are shown a text requesting you to wait for the transfer of account transactions or other such procedure. This means that you do not have control over what happens in your Netbank.
Using these services constitutes a serious security risk. Usually these services are built in a way that allows the third party to control Netbank use, although you should be the one who controls it. Moreover, it may be difficult to distinguish such services from malware (viruses, spyware, etc).
It is also important to note that if another customer's account has been added to your Netbank, the information retrieved by a third party may include information concerning the other person's accounts that are subject to bank secrecy. Such data transfer always requires the express consent of the said accountholder.
Because the use of Netbank is based on personal access codes, you must ensure that no third party is able to use Netbank on your behalf even after logging into Netbank. This kind of action is compared to the surrender of access codes to a third party, which is prohibited under the terms and conditions of the Netbank agreement.
Use of Netbank access codes approved by Nordea
