Card payments are safe

A card is safer than cash especially during a holiday trip. You can set daily withdrawal and payment limits for your cards for ATM use.

Paying with a card brings you security: if your trip is cancelled due to financial difficulties of the airline company or travel agency, you will get your money back for sure.

If you choose MasterCard Gold or Visa Gold, you will also get comprehensive foreign travel insurance*).

Home Safety Insurance

When you use your card to make a purchase of at least 100 euros for your home or holiday home, you will get a Home Safety Insurance cover*) for it for free. The insurance covers damage or breaking of an object bought in the Nordic countries according to the insurance terms.

Hotel benefit with Nordea’s credit cards

If you lose your card

If you lose your card, it gets stolen or stuck in a foreign ATM, it is easy to block the card with one phone call:

• in Finland, tel 020 333 (24 hours a day) and
• from abroad, tel +358 20 333 (24 hours a day)

You can also report a card loss to your nearest Nordea branch during its business hours. We recommend that you write down the card number (a series of 16 digits), as it makes reporting easier.
