Index-linked bonds

Index-linked bonds are continuously available for subscription

Index-linked bonds provide investors with uncomplicated exposure to markets that could otherwise be difficult to access.

The yield of index-linked bonds is linked to the performance of a predetermined reference asset. The reference asset may be an equity or commodity index, an equity basket or a market rate, for example.

The nominal capital invested in the index-linked bond is repaid to the investor at maturity regardless of whether the value of the reference asset rises or falls. The premium, if any, is not returned.

For more detailed information on the yield formation and the issue terms, see page Terms and prospectuses (in Finnish).

Index-linked bonds involve a risk of the issuer’s repayment ability. The investor can hence lose the invested capital and the possible yield partially or in full in the event of the issuer's insolvency.
