Additional payment confirmation

Additional payment confirmation is part of a payment order

Additional payment confirmation means that random Netbank payments require an additional confirmation before the payment is executed. The additional confirmation is done by phone or text message in addition to the normal confirmation in Netbank. The customer will not incur any extra costs with a Finnish mobile phone subscription if the customer calls or sends a message from Finland.

Confirm by calling the service number

Confirm the payment by calling the payment confirmation service, tel 0800 165 656. The service hours are 10.00 - 16.30 on weekdays from Monday to Friday.

SMS confirmation service

Customers can make additional confirmations by text message with Finnish mobile phone subscriptions, excluding Ålands Mobiltelefon (ÅMT). The SMS confirmation service is available 24/7.

Text message A confirms the payment

You receive the additional confirmation request by text message. To confirm the payment you must reply the request message with a text message reading the capital letter A. After sending the reply you get one more message, an acknowledgement. If you don't send the confirmation message by midnight the next banking day, the payment lapses.
