E-identification

Identify your online customers reliably with Nordea's e‑identification solution

With Nordea's e-identification solution the service provider can reliably identify its online customers using the bank's identification methods. In the e-identification service Nordea identifies a customer on behalf of the service provider. The identification data transmitted in the service can also be used to form an electronic signature if the customer identifying him-/herself and the service provider so agree.

Nordea has been accepted in the register of providers of strong electronic identification service maintained by the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA). The e-identification service offered by Nordea is a service of strong electronic identification as referred to in the law.

Nordea’s e-identification is built upon the Tupas standard drafted by the Federation of Finnish Financial Services. With the e-identification of Nordea and similar services of other Finnish banks, the service provider can reach a potential customer base of millions in Finland and increase the clientele of their online services. For more information on the standard, go to the website of the Federation of Finnish Financial Services www.fkl.fi.
