This is how we take responsibility in our investments

22.11.2010Can you apply the principles of responsible investment without compromising the returns? How can we promote the environmental and social responsibility and good corporate governance of companies operating in the emerging markets?

In 2007, Nordea signed, as the first Nordic bank, the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investments (UNPRI). The principles of responsible investment should be part of a company's everyday operations. This is why all our funds use the norm-based screening method in their investment policy.

When you invest in Nordea's products, you can be sure that you automatically invest in compliance with the principles of responsible investment. In the Report on Responsible Investment you can read more about how the environmental and social responsibility and good corporate governance issues are taken into account in our investments and what concrete changes we have achieved through our active ownership policy.
